Church History

Ellen G. White, servant of the Lord, quoted: “God calls for consecrated workers who will be true to Him, humble men who see the need for evangelistic work and do not draw back but do each day’s work faithfully, relying upon God for help and strength in every emergency. The message is to be taken up by those who love and fear God. Lay not your burden upon any conference. “Go forth, and as evangelists, in a humble way present a Thus saith the Scripture.” Book Evangelism p. 24

In August 2008, AGAPE HAITIAN SDA CHURCH was born and had its first worship service. Since then, we have continued to preach, teach, and educate the members and the community according to the three Angel messages gospel. A year later, we received a visit from the Late Pastor Orlando Magana Multi-Cultural director of the Rocky Mountain Conference SDA, to officially organize the group as a Company. Since that day, the church Leaders never stop working and teaching the gospel to the community. In February 2015, the Rocky Mountain SDA Conference officially organized AGAPE SDA COMPANY as a church. Over the years, many people have given their precious souls to the Lord.

In January 2010, after the devastating earthquake that destroyed more than fifty percent of the capital Port-au-Prince, with more than 300,000 deaths, many church members lost friends and relatives. Despite all the sad moments, God has kept the church strong and united. Fortunately, the church members stay connected in prayer through all the difficult times they have endured. Their desire was to see the church grow spiritually and in number and stay connected until the second coming of Christ. The Lord has led and guided the church in a new direction. As the Haitian community is growing the need to spread the gospel will be greater.

According to Ellen G. White, Education p. 57., “The greatest want of the world is the want of men – men who will not be bought or sold; men who in their inmost souls are true and honest; men who do not fear to call sin by its right name; men whose conscience is as true to duty as the needle to the pole; men who will stand for the right though the heavens fall.”

Unfortunately, people are putting themselves first in this world today. There can be no doubt that we are living in the last days. End-time events are happening all around us.
